Concrete Hopper

Haarup offer a range of solutions to store concrete after it has been mixed.

If you have a ready-mix factory and would like to reduce the speed of filling your lorries, a concrete hopper is a solution.

If you have a block making factory and for instance would like to manufacture colour mix, you can also achieve this utilising Haarup’s concrete hoppers.

The hoppers can be suspended on a load cell, which is used as empty/full indicator allowing the system to automatically reorder when the hopper is empty, if required.

A Haarup concrete hopper is supplied with a circular side for the outlet of the mixer. It is supplied with 2 hinged safety gratings that cover the hopper and the discharge opening of the mixer. At the bottom there is a rectangular outlet flange. Fastening outside the mixer has to take place in the mixer platform or similar.

A transition piece can be fitted under the concrete hopper and adjusted to the concrete discharge belt. The transition piece is supplied with an adjustable outlet gate in the batching direction and to the rear it is supplied with a rubber gate and extended steel sides towards the belt.

A trough-shaped concrete discharge belt, for batching of dry, loose concrete can also be fitted. The discharge belt is built in a plate construction and supplied with under belt plough and belt tightening device. The drive and circulation drum is made of a ribbed construction and rested in pedestal bearings. The worm reduction gear can optionally be fitted on both sides of the belt.

The concrete belt can be installed with an indicator for indication of whether there is concrete on the belt or not. This is only necessary when the belt has to dose measured amounts of concrete onto another belt.

The hoppers can be suspended on a load cell, which is used as empty/full indicator allowing the system to automatically reorder when the hopper is empty.

The hopper can be fitted with an indicator to indicate when there is space for a mix of concrete in the concrete hopper.

For wet concrete you should use a hopper with a discharge gate. At the bottom there is a pneumatically operated outlet gate. The suspension fittings are under the mixer.

The sizes of all the hoppers are designed to suit your individual needs.
